1. Why is it important to manage the heat while traveling ?

I have always had a lot of difficulty dealing with the hot weather even in Europe.
So it was common for me to stay indoors and avoid outdoor activities.
I used to lose my focus all the time, and sometimes I passed out under the sun …
I definitely had more resistance and felt drawn to the outdoors and the sun when I changed my diet.

2. Hydrate yourself !

Drink plenty of water throughout the day.
In Asia you have to buy your own water and you can see everyone outside with a drink in hand all the time, so you won’t forget to hydrate for sure !

3. Eat fresh food !

I was really surprised when I arrived in Bangkok to see people eating all day long and smelling fish and grills everywhere.

It is very disturbing because you do not know when to eat anymore and common sense recommends that you eat fresh and cold foods when it is hot.

For me, the legendary good Asian cuisine was not pleasant because I do not eat meat, fish or  dairy products and all dishes in Asia are made from these ailments: pork, chicken and fish !

I was disappointed as I couldn’t cook most of the time but enjoyed the fresh fruit and veg everywhere ! You can find a lot of ready-to-eat fruits and vegetables all over the supermarket.

4. Don’t hesitate to use the air conditioning !

You will be in better shape in the morning after staying in an air-conditioned room all night !
And take lots of showers during the day !

5. Wash your clothes every day

I know it might sound obvious, but it’s an unconditional obligation when it’s hot and it smells like fish everywhere.

1. Relativize the risks

You will hear at least one person around you who will warn you of the insurmountable risks you will face if you go abroad.

So yes, anything can happen, but a bit like everywhere else in fact.

The important thing is to assess the risks before leaving by taking the right information and the right recommendations.

If you are well prepared, everything will be fine and the hazards will be taken care of properly.

2. Prepare before departure

Travel insurance

Whatever your destination, you will need to take out travel insurance and you can consult the article devoted to this subject.

Always carry a copy of your insurance policy with you. It could help you in case of an accident.

Vaccines

Some vaccines are highly recommended depending on the destination.

This is the case with the vaccine against yellow fever for Africa or Japanese encephalitis for certain countries in Asia.

See the article on vaccines.

In all cases, you will be required to do the vaccinations before your departure.

And if you don’t want to do them, you’ll change your mind after being bitten by 20 mosquitoes a day or by a gentle monkey on a sightseeing tour.

The reluctance to be vaccinated is quite legitimate and you will have to find acceptable compromises and in this case avoid certain risk areas.

Remember to bring your vaccination record wherever you go, put a copy in your emergency kit and write down the products to which you are allergic.

Accidents and Insurance during travelling

Of course, if you hurt yourself very strongly, especially after an accident in scooter, you will need to call the emergency.
But not necessarily if it’s not broken.
Remember that you have the power to solve a lot of problems by yourself with powerful natural products.

3. Your emergency kit

When traveling, you have to remember that everything will be more complicated, even if there are pharmacies all over the world, you have to rely on yourself, for everything and everywhere.

My emergency kit is made with natural products, simply because it is more effective than chemicals, cheaper, and easy to find anywhere in the world.

Having personal back-up solutions can solve many serious or stressful cases and save substantial amounts of money in most cases.

You can also have the traditional emergency kit or combine the two.

1. For the emergency kit of natural products

Take a waterproof bag and put in it:

  • Baking soda: insect bites, wounds, digestive problems, sunburn, itching
  • Turmeric: all
  • Garlic: anemia
  • Apple cider vinegar: disinfectant, itching
  • Olive oil: inflammation
  • Clove: tooth pain
  • Peper: headache
  • Green clay: anti-diarrhea, and almost everything
  • Castor oil: very effective for severe sunburns
  • Tea tree essential oil: infections, hand sanitizer, insect repellent, antibacterial, antiseptic for minor cuts and scrapes, boosts wound healing, anti-fungus.
  • Mint essential oil: headaches, nausea, digestive problems, muscle pain, itching
  • Coconut oil: sunburn, skin rehydration
  • Tiger balm: assault and battery
  • Bandage
  • Scissors
  • Knife
  • Booknote and pen
  • A whistle
  • Masks
  • Emergency blanket

2. The traditional emergency kit

  • 1 triangular bandage
  • 1 roll of first aid tape
  • 1 Tourniquet
  • 1 medical scissor
  • 1 moleskin blister

  • 1 eye wash 15 ml
  • 2 adhesive fabric bandages for the knuckles • 2 adhesive fabric bandages for the fingers • 4 sterile gauze pads
  • antiseptic towels
  • 4 povidone-iodine prep pads
  • 10 alcohol prep pads
  • 13 safety pins
  • 15 Junior adhesive bandages
  •  15 adhesive plastic bandages

 4. The right behavior to adopt

Observe, ask, and follow the locals

You are probably traveling to places where the locals are already prepared for natural disasters such as earthquakes, tsunamis, etc.

Don’t be afraid in advance.

Once there and once the danger is real, you will just have to follow the rescue procedures.

Better to know them beforehand to avoid panicking.

1. Should I be vaccinated ?

Beyond the big debate on the usefulness of vaccines, we must assess our own immunity and resistance to viruses and diseases in general and exotic in particular.

Some anti-vaccine people refuse them all, including those for tropical diseases only found in Asia or Africa.

2. Is vaccination compulsory ?

In any case, they are not mandatory, just highly recommended.
It is therefore left to the free will of each.

***

3. Where to get vaccinated ?

In your country of origin

Go see his doctor and decide with him which ones you will do according to your destination and your health.

In the destination country

Quite possible. Long haul flights always arrive in big cities where it is easy to get vaccinated in 2 days.
It is much cheaper in general.

4. Which vaccines ?

Covid 19

Not made mandatory for the moment.
Depending on the country, there are vaccine priorities:
. health establishment staff
. People over 60
. Adults already suffering from pathologies that weaken their body.

Some countries are likely to require it in exchange for more flexible measures to circulate.

Vaccines already compulsory in France

  • Diphtheria, tetanus and polio (DTP)
  • Whooping cough.
  • Invasive Haemophilus influenzae type b infections.
  • Hepatitis B.
  • Invasive pneumococcal infections.
  • Meningococcal serogroup C.
  • Measles, mumps and rubella.
  • Vaccines strongly recommended before leaving for Asia, Africa and Latin America.
  • Rabies

Still very present, it remains a fatal disease. Transmitted by animal bites. A preventive dose and 5 doses in the event of a bite.

  • Viral hepatitis A and B
  • Yellow fever
  • Absent in Asia. Concerns Africa and Latin America.
  • Malaria or Malaria
  • Transmitted by mosquitoes, it can have serious consequences on fragile organisms.
  • Japanese encephalitis
  • Transmitted by mosquitoes, There is no cure.
  • Typhoid

Making sure you enjoy your vacation in advance is part of the travel planning phase.

You have to know what you will be facing in advance in order to set up habits and reflexes in the event of a hard blow, especially when you are far from home.

1. Get vaccines

if needed

See my article Travel vaccination

2. Prepare your own emergency kit

See the following article:

3. Be careful not to eat anything

See the following article:

4. Physical activity

Holidays do not necessarily mean lazing around and with the heat and the abundant food that catches our attention, we quickly lose shape and this well before coming home.

Beyond the visits and various tours that we have the opportunity to do while traveling, we must always reserve time to play sports or at least practice a physical activity, even light.

Without having to invest in preparing for a marathon, it will be a good idea to walk as much as possible as soon as possible.

It must be recognized that it is difficult in the heat and it is for this reason that it can be interesting to invest a few hours in a gym.
Many of them offer short tickets or tickets for tourists.

Swimming pools are also a good way to recover energy. Lots of gyms have them and lots of hotels too.

Making sure you return home in good shape will also be a good way to keep good memories of your stay at the end of the world.

5. Stay hydrated

Hydration can solve many problems, especially in hot countries.

6. Use natural products
